Business and Fulfilment
Two Audible books I'm listening to which have already improved my relationships with money and lifestyle
BOOKS

Life is so different for all different people. We are in our own walks of life, with our own priorities, our own goals and ambitions and all our beliefs differing from the strangers you are surrounded by daily. The one thing we all have in common though is we have one time on earth to get it right, to live the life we feel is suited to us and with the people, experiences and choices we can look back on and say "I'm happy and fulfilled".
You may feel however that you can't say those words yet. You feel you don't have your finances in order or you want to become financially free. Maybe you want to look into starting your own business because you can't get the job you want due to your qualifications, or you're no longer happy working 9 hours a week for a boss who hardly gives you the time of day. When I say I understand that, I do, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this blog!
But we have to consider a few factors into how to reach fulfilment with your earning lifestyle and it's not going to be the same path as your work colleague in the next cubicle. Let me tell you how I got on the first run of the ladder and already feel I'm on my way to where I want to be.
Step 1: Get an idea
Getting an idea isn't as hard as you think. It's about getting inspired, finding a problem that needs fixing in the world and/or doing something that you are passionate about. A lot of people get the wrong ideas from upbringings, they either think the old fashion way (getting a job, saving for a mortgage, starting a family, etc.) or they look for the fastest, easiest and best pay-out ways to make money and live like a celebrity. Some people can work for this and this is their sort of fulfilment, but it doesn't mean it has to be yours. Maybe you want to help solve homelessness and you already volunteer down at a local soup kitchen. Or, you're an inspiring entrepreneur who wants to open a business on helping other people start their own business.
Whatever it is, make it unique to you! If you don't, how will you enjoy what you're doing? And do you think people will want products and services from people who don't feel passionate about them? The first step is incredibly overwhelming and is usually the place most people give up and carry on with their adequate lives. Make giving up 'not' an option! Start with writing down what you're good at and what you enjoy doing. With that, your brain will cook up some ideas that seem great, and others that seem incredible.
Step 2: Implement your idea
Now that you have an idea (no matter how much you've got it worked out) it's time to get the ball rolling. Starting talking to your friends and family about your idea. Do a trail where you offer and try the work/experience for free or offer free samples. The main focus at this point in time is working a portfolio, get an audience that will see what you have to offer and why they should stick with you and not sway to other competitors in your field. Look at videos on how to grow your idea and don't waste your money on lessons and courses right now. Some of the can be things you can learn already for free on the internet. If there was a course that you know could help you, that's fine! It's good not to be to afraid to put money into your ideas. Just make sure you do the research and when you think about spending money think about being wise and careful, rather than going by the word conserved.
Step 3: Keep expanding your knowledge
There's nothing better than waking up one day and seeing your bank account has received a payment from your hard work and that you have made it yourself and not through being an employee. You've done it, you're a true entrepreneur. Or your excited about going to your next football session ready to work on your passing and forward play. In that case, you've found a passion! Now is the time to look into how to expand your knowledge and to remember what you're doing this for. Make sure you are keeping yourself to the passion and goal you have and not falling into the trap of greed and what looks like the easiest option before considering them all.
I have started this page with no knowledge of business and I was terrified. I kept thinking I couldn't do what others could and I would make a mistake that would cost me the adequate life I currently had. After encouragement from close friends and family, I've seen that it's all about those failures and bumps in the road, its how we learn from them and keep getting up that separates us from the ordinary to the successful.
I've read two books to help get me in the mindset to pursue the life I want to live, and I truly believe more people should. Even if like me, you don't have the time or concentration to read a book, you can listen through Audible which can also be cheaper than ordering the hardback.
'The Psychology of Money' helps you to first improve your relationship with money and I would recommend to listen to this first. It relates a lot of stories and scenarios that have happened to different people in different walks of life and how they triumphed or failed from them. It's an important first step into the world of first being happy with your life and not feeling you don't have enough.
Next is 'What's your Dream?' where the author describes how everyone should feel like they have more to give in life than just living pay check to pay check. He talks about the steps on getting to where you want to be with your business venture and explains better the factors of having a solid idea than the article above.
Both of these books come with a free chapter on Audible and have a very impressive score and review page on how they have affected their readers ways of thinking. If you know you want to change your attitude towards money but you feel confused or not sure where to begin, please try these and let me know what you think!
There are hundreds is not thousands of books all with critical and impressive bits of advice to help you with any questions, habits and drives to help you thrive in your paths in life. I was looking for how to make enough money to be happy with my life, and instead I stumbled across two fantastic books changing my thought process to how to be happy with what I have and how to find a passion you can use as your way of income and living. That's the power of positive thinking and being open to the world we should be excited to live in.
